Surely, as mentioned in news, it was a day where there are a lot of newly weds...

but it is also a special day for me!!!!

Finally, after a long long long wait, I got my I phone 4!!!! :D:D

Currently still waiting for the data plan to be activated. By tmr, I was told!

gosh! another 15 days have passed just like that.

yesyes, my taiwan trip post is still in the progress :S

will post it up soon! and my 21st celebrations with dearest frds as well...

hehehe...

just some quick random updates!!!

-it was my last day at work on 11.10.10... 1 year contract is up and i decided not to renew as i have decided to study full time!

I wouldn't exactly say that this 1 year of work is an easy journey as i was required to pass the 'BCP' and 'PGI' papers (yeah, must re-take till i pass -.-), and the stress that was on me on the different kinda insurance products. Working in a call centre, everything is recorded. so i gotta make sure that i do advise customers the right thing. Otherwise, hurhurhur... (ok, let's don't go into this direction!! :P)

On the other hand, i had wonderful colleagues! Esp Arvin, Azreen, Nadzirah, Alvin, Ivy, Paul, etc... they were the ones who makes work something to look forward to! Definitely would want to meet them up for lunch some day...

;super not used to it at first as my spending power is back to that of a student. :( boooohoooo... really can feel the difference!!! but i reckon i just gotta save more during this period of 'upgrading'!!! Furthering my studies at Tourism Management Institute of Singapore (TMIS), in diploma in Tourism (Hospitality Management). upon completing this course, i would be bonded 6 months in the Tourism industry. and yeah, my desire/goal is to go into this direction for my future career... :)

-just completed watching 'Personal Taste'! Like finally. Planning to watch other drama series soon!! heh heh...

-at the same time, planning to be equipped with Photoshop skills!!! Seeing how Ken do incredibly nice and awesome card makes me feel irritated. HAHA! so yeahhhhhhh!

-iphone 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!! cannot wait. hopefully the OOS thingy would be goneee! Looking forward to join the i phone 4 clan!! :)

-now that i am more freed up, i am *planning* of going back to blogging regularly!! Personally don't really like to post up outdated post too often. thats probably why i ended up not blogging for long. hahaha...

-wanna plan my schedule effectively as well! meet more friends, etc...

Yeahness! My beloved Attributes Family advance celebrated my birthdae and they were the first! :)

The dae started off with the yummy sushi Jeffery treated us to...

I joined the Attributes (AKA Bookstore) for 8ish years already. Still remember I was just a young lil girl in Sec 1! OMG... hahaha. really learned a lot of priceless lessons in this place, and many friendship are built as well! Thank you for everything, dearest everyone! :)

Had CGM at Jian Feng's house and we traveled down to 'Game Haven' at Clarke Quay! (its actually a place where people would play lan at...) Ken booked a room in advanced and after buying all the titbits, drinks etc, we went down to the place! And in this room, what we did was to play WII! so fun! Minus the fact that irritating TGX keeps disturbing me. HAHA!

it turned 12AM... and it was MR YXY's 21st!

We were all so glad that he was able to celebrate his birthdae not in camp as it is the public holiday!

Of cos, there are so so so so much much much moreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee pictures to reminisce about... but really, I m all I am because of God and YOU GUYS!!!! Thank you for loving me the same whether i am ugly, pretty, sad, happy, stubborn, moody etc etc... I REALLY REALLY AM FULL OF GRATITUDE.... :)

The things that made me grew up some way or the other as well... I don't despise them, and reckons that they are really like precious gems in this life that i live. :D

As i am gonna officially step into 'adulthood', i gotta constantly remind myself to JIAYOU, and to be a good finisher, just as, or better than how i have started off...

and at this point, what i really wish and hope for is a good health. was admitted to hospital and all just within the span of 2 wks. and thereafter given a week of hospitalization leave after the discharge. Honestly, i feel so tired and drained out easily. Due to the medicine i ate as well.. But this really makes me rely on God even more. For strength. If not, i really da-boleh-tahan!!! Feel bad to have Simon (my covering officer) to take over me for this period of time as well... somemore with the Taiwan Trip so near... only ard 15 days!!!! So, having said all this, i am currently trying to recover and for those of you who are concerned, don't be too worry ok? cos it is in a good steady progress...

being a regular birthdae-girl-to-be, it would be..... to.... put up my wishes for my 21st!!! Crossing fingers that someone would drop by to see and get you those which you desire... (HAHAHHA, nah, quite in a joking mode, saying this!!!)

told my family members to give me $$$ instead of any gift so i can have more budget for the trip!!!! :D:D:D and as for the rest which i wanna get... stay tuned~! To be continued. MUHAHAHHAHA...

i m back! this time, with a great 'feel' to blog and to put up a post. (:

firstly, 28th AUGUST 2010 was the graduation ceremony for the batch of SOT 2010 students!!! Going thru the svc and seeing the performance really did bring back lots and lots and lots of memories.

I wanna especially CONGRATULATE a dear buddy of mine, none other than Mr KENNETH JEREMIAH LEE ZHI HONG! :D

for the 100th time, I AM PROUD OF YOU! W/O taking really a breather after the graduation from Laselle, you enrolled into SOT; where you had to choing this and that and all... WELL DONE is the word! Thankful for you in my(our)lives, really!!! I am believing for greater things ahead for you!

Filmed the members' greetings and compiled it into a video. GOSH GOSH GOSH... I m so so sure that this is gonna be the last time i do video!!! (cos sadly i only know how to do it with the really very bad ttm (keeps hanging and hanging till i was so pek cek. :S haha!)Windows Movie Maker. UNLESS i am using another program with a erm... macpro? HA... dislike to do something and find it not at least up to standard. :(

YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

IT IS CONFIRMED!!!!! :DDDDDDDDD

LOL! so here goes my 21st Birthdae Plan!!!

Had 'headaches' thinking what to do for this special occasion to no avail. :S Nothing's wrong with having a BBQ, booking a chalet but no, that did not appeal to me.

Wanted to book 'Love The World Soul Rock Café' (located inside S'pore Flyer) but it would cost quite a bomb. (for a few hrs, the money I needa spend really makes me 'bu she de'… HAHA..) In addition is that the slot is not available for me as it is the F1 racing season then…

so it came a period when I became very sian… as I really didn't know what to do… and definitely would like to leave great memories when I look back few years down the road. (not so kua zhang as in to have a great and grand celebration but to really have that simple affair to look back to.) ;)

Thoughts of going overseas came in… wanted to visit Shanghai as I have never been to China before. However, as Ken and XY is not going, then it simply make me have jitters. I mean aftall the two girls (Yiying and I) doesn't know what to expect and there was this linger of the unsafe feeling.

SO…. finally, decided to go to TAIWAN from 18th to 25th September!

gosh I m so excited!!! Tho I have been there two years back, 4 days 3 nights was simply not enough for me! :S Applied leave for the whole week and thank God it got approved instantly!! :D

Yours truly will be going to Taiwan !!!

Have booked tickets on Monday and two of my dearest travel companions are none other than…

KENNETH and YIYING!!!

Funny. i will be touching down 5 past 12, which is on the 26th itself already.

will be staying in Rainbow Hotel - which is located in Xi Men Ding itself! :)

my longest overseas trip to my favourite spot thus far with two amazing frds, going there to meet my sweethearts - Taiwan Frds.... Indeed, this is the best thing i could ever ask for!! SO LOOKING FORWARD TO my bdae trip. :D

But of cos.. my beloved friends in Singapore, you CANNOT don't meet me up! My AH MA, Bestie, ling-ers, SOT Team 8, N266, and the list goes on. cos you guys know that you all means tons to me! you know who! :) HAHA... you can start making your reservation at 1800-I-LOVE-JAS. ;p

30 JUNE'10 - irritating number 1, Mr TGX's 21st birthdae~

it was GX's 21st birthdae on the 30th June! We met on the 26th June (Sunday) to advance celebrate.

Ken, Willie and I met to buy some wierd but funny wig (which we asked him to wear it. haahah!) and then we went to the restuarant; while waiting for the rest.

As unbelievable as it may be, we went to this restuarant called the 'Kublai Khan Mongolian BBQ' at the ulu Park Mall.... we thought it was the v ncie one at Orchard but nah it wasn't! We feel super duper wierd as we stepped in as there were many unknown objects. To be exact, those which we did not expected to see. =.=""

so anyway, Amelia and the GX reached and was surprised to see us! (didn't tell him before hand. just asked Amelia to bring him there.)

overall, except the atmosphere, i would say the food was not bad. Tho i am sure that the group would never head back there again. :S

went to watch Ip man - The legend is born - part 0; some named at cathay after that.... i would say that after watching the oh so awesome ttm IP MAN part 2, it wasn't that interesting anymore. :)

the night was still young! we went to Circuit Road to have some Monopoly Deal card plays, and to have dessert. Until 12 plus 1 am. gosh. we were crazy. considering that the next day we had to go to work, school, etc...

tho was stone-ing at work the following day, we had great fun!

9th of July...

AH MA TURNED 21!

met up with her after my work on her birthdae eve.

major turn off - My outfit. OMG.... first and last time with that combination man!!

okieeee that aside....

We went to watch 3D movie!!!

i gotta agreeee that CS cinema has more comfortable seats. :)

was so so so so HUNGRY after the show and it was already turning 9 . :s
went to Central to seee if they are still open, but they are closing in just another half hr or so... thus we walked to Tampines 1!!! and decided upon Kim Gary.

They have this 1-f0r-1 for orders (for both dine-in and take-away) promotion for orders made after 930pm...

after a while, we finally decided what we wannna eat! :)

Took the excuse to go withdraw cash, to go buy cake to surprise her!

So walked briskly to buy a mini cake from Emicake and took the cake and headed to the supermarket to buy a lighter. ;)

Went back and ah ma was on the phone! (in my mind i was saying to myself: great! she will not see me.) haahah! but aye! a lil failed! Cos she thought i took too long to draw cash. HHAHAAH! lol!

after a while... our food came!!!

ah ma's - which we will not recommend! Just normal maggie mee :S

and mine! it was niceeeeeee!

spent time together, talking, sharing and before we knew it... it was turning 11pm already! I looked crap on the pics taken. :S nvm ah ma!! OUR NEXT HANG OUT we take again ok! i promise (to myself) i will not.......... ahhaha!

Well it was a sick week for me....

Last Fridae after the awesome CGM, I had the giddy spells on me. -.-"
it was so terrible that i went home right after that... thank God that JF drove me home...

Popped panadols and went to sleep. Feel better and had a great svc with Dr A R Bernard!

aft dinner, it was when it came back again. :(

Rested till late on Sunday and headed out to meet Rena and Yiying at night, thinking that i am alright already, not a problem to head out...

however, i ended up vomiting and had runs. T.T

thus, took mc on Monday....

and...

i did not have a good experience with this doc i visited, at the clinic... =.=

don't wish to elaborate but i was pissed with the unrelated question he asked. and how he answered my questions. Sorry but, yeah, this is the first and last time i shall visit this clinic...

So anyway, he gave me some medicine and thank God that currently, i do not anymore runs and vomiting; except for the headache which goes on and off. :) I am proclaiming for my complete well being!!!

This week is gonna be an awesome weekend w PM as well... I gotta be prepared! and... well!

yep... so time to hit the sacks...

but before that.

i am v happy!! i am really thankful!!

that i passed my PGI test today~! Finally! no more stress on the two papers!! :) PTL!!! YAY!

the 701th post...

opps.. totally didn't realize that it is already nearly a month ago since I last blogged; abt AC 2010...

since this is the 701th post, let me blog about something a tad more interesting. (ya right, just an excuse lah. HAHA!)

Okay, great... i do not know how to start... but still, i know i got to start it somewhere.

4 to 5 years back when Jo was around my age now shared with me that the topic of conversations is surrounded with the word 'Relationship'.

Being an innocent young girl (which i self declared to be, still, HAHAH!!), i didn't know or feel the impact until i actually experience it.

Friends will start to ask 'when, when'? or 'Jas, what kinda guy are you looking for', etc etc.

Honestly speaking, i was almost totally clueless when these questions was first posted to me...

and it was then that i started to think of the 'criteria' I look for in a BF/partner.

Let me now share some of them... :)

1) He must be in CHC, someone who is so on fire for God and has this love and passion for people; always thirsting for more.

2) Like what i always mention, he must be someone who sees beyond my physical being. Someone who can accept me just the way i am, with eczema and that i don't walk quite normally due to this fall when i was young. This is one of the very important factors to me. Imagine you having a GF where occasion stares are no surprise... are you able to take it being my BF and etc.

3) He is someone who is not too 'D' and is 'C' (D.I.S.C is what i m referring to here BTW. hehe)

4) Call me an obasan but i doubt i will ever take the first step... cos esp to me, i think i really need the assurance that he really loves me. :S Wahaha...

5) Someone who knows how to carry himself well; in the way he talks, do things, handles things.

Shall stop at 5 tho there are more. Nope, i am not in rush to get into R/S. Cos i know there is just time and seasons in life... for now, my focus is on work and furthering my studies. When it comes, it comes! :) Wahahha... I really agree with what Jian Feng shared with me... that in the different seasons of life, the thing we look in a woman/man changes. Though so, these five, are the main criteria.

Meanwhile, it is changing into a better me! In all aspects of my life... God, You mould and change me...

ASIA CONFERENCE - 26TH TO 30TH MAY - the life-changing event

Yeah! As mentioned, back to update this space on AC 2010!! :D

V V excitedly went to the Airport to welcome my beloved Taiwan friends at Terminal 1 a day before this major event!! Have been anticipating for the dear them to come for quite a while indeed!

As they board the Coach from the airport to the hotel, we arranged to meet after their check-in... evening came and that was when i went down to Bugis Junction to look for them!

Settled down at the food court while they tried some of the desserts and 'uniquely' Singaporean drinks there. Chen Wei and Jerry went to buy donuts and we began to take pics with it!!

Jerry!!!! The one who never fails to lid up smiles on our faces, with his sometimes lame jokes. :)

The day they returned back to Singapore! Wasn't there as i need to go back to work. So anyway, XY and Ken represented us!!! and they bought them Chix Rice - what they have yet to try thruout the 5 days. :D

Overall....

-Served at Attributes for the alternate days of AC and it always feels good to do so! ;)

-Had to go back to work on Saturday from 9-1pm due to Travel Peak period. Rushed to buy some popiah and chee chong fun for them before i cabbed down to Expo!!!

-Met my beloved taiwan friends whenever there is time. XOXO.

-The hot weather drove me very very crazy!!!! Thank God that i only queue once, which was 7 plus am when the sun is still unbearable.... other than that, either i am serving, or i am in air-con places to q. God is good! :D

-managed to talk individually to Yan Ru also... found out that she was suffering from depression and it is simply amazing to hear her share how God moved in her life!!! :)

Well, after every major event have passed, i always would reflect on the thing the power packed ttm Pst shared and what i can do to proceed to do more, go higher, do more things for the Lord. Now that the word is received, time to go spread it! :) i know that there is so much to be tuned in me. but i am gonna just depend on You and You alone as i give my best shot... have your way in me Lord...

Hong Kong Trip Day 1 - 4

Howdy! :) without further ado, the post on my Hong Kong Trip on the 14th to 17th of May!

I simply just rested for 1 hr before setting off to the Airport. Cabbed down with my sisters and my mum; they got down at T1 while my ever sweet mum accompanied me to the budget terminal for my flight! :)

was casually chatting with Mei Wen (more comfortably called as Ah Lian Hua) days before i departed to HK that i am gonna take lotsa pics from the time i reached the airport onwards since it is my first time travelling on a plane alone (must kiasu a bit!!) but i... didn't! but no worries, cos there was really nothing much. haha... surfed the internet for a while before i board the plane at 6ish. The view on the plane was spectacular as always! Adding on to the great fact that i got the window seat... :D

After 3ish hours... I landed on the land of tim sum- HONG KONG!

OTW to the immigration.... didn't check in any luggage when i went there; so i didn't need to queue and wait for my luggage etc etc!! :)

Met up with them after they cleared the immigration and collected the lugguage!

first things first, to buy the special value for $ tourist MTR card! $.$

TADAH!!! The catch - 2 rides to Airport Express and unlimited MTR rides for 3 days!

Secondly, to take the maps!!!!!!!! :)

off to take train; to make our way to our Hotel!

got in at the Airport Station! (Like obviously right? hahahahha..... wanted to show you guys the TV inside the train lah. heheehhe...)

Was searching our first eating place - Mido Cafe - in the itinerary but failed. Thus, the three angry (hungry=angry... ahhahah) us decided to have our late lunch here...

this was what Jo ate... Belle and I had Eel Unagi Claypot rice.
It was to us just normal... one thing about themed restuarant that
i noticed... the deco is always better than the food. (click HERE to read my Taiwan post

After satisfying the hungry us, we then had the energy to shop!!!!!

Searching for Argle centre - very much liken to Bugis Street, my heaven!!!!

Was all very busyyy to shop so no time for photos.

I love love love Argle Centre!! It was the place i spent most my money on. hehehehe....
and then... it was dinner time!!!! This is the very well done Peking Duck Restaurant with lotsa awesome reviews. So we tot we have got to eat the PEKING DUCK there.... So ta dah!!! After some walking around in the district, we managed to find this at one 'ulu' corner!

It is never likened to the ones I tasted before in Singapore. The fats just spells gross here.
There, it was really thinly sliced, with the skin so crispy. WHO CAN EVER RESIST?!?! We totally couldn't man! heehehehehhehe.....

After eating, we need to do some exercise!!! To shop that is.
so..... this was the first time 3 of us stepped into a H&M outlet.
and it was definitely not the last time. We visited different outlets
throughout the trip.... My 2 sisters esp Jo was so so so crazily in love
with the stuffs there. Influenced me to like it as well!! Bought two tops,
lip stick, a pair of sunglasses. :D It is like Top Shop, but with the price so much
moreee cheaper. :))

Day 2 - We kicked started our day by first savoring the TIM SUM in HK!!!!!!
we chose '莲香楼'!

Trying to find the signboard of it and it took us quite some time....

you guys know why? VERY -.-.... cos the signboard wasn't completed. As in the word '楼' was missing, left with '莲香'.... -.- thank God Belle was sharp!!!! hehehehehhheh. So funny lar.....

We reached at 9ish am and it was packed with peopleeee...

it is all about self-service over there. There will be a lot of staffs pushing the different variety of food in the trolley, so if it fits what you wanna eat, you will just say 'can i have one'? They will put a stamp on the order form (given after settling down).

when we realized that we haven't really snap pics of our suite! (at level 23 - the highest level- and the best thing was that the upgrade was free.. heheheeh ;D)

I think the pics doesn't do justice to the actual scene there.. but one thing... it was huge! Love how my bedsheet is changed everyday after coming back from the shopping... :D

DAY 3!

Had traditional Milk Tea and Bo Lo Bun here. After tasting Bo lo bun in HK, we were all surprised that Singapore ones tastes better. as in it has more filling here. it is not concluded with this one time that we tried, cos, we tried others too there but nah, it was not what we expected it to be. Not bad a thing this is! I can simply get what i love to eat in S'pore. hahaa...

SOGO! closed down many years back in Singapore...

In the MTR on the way to the Factory Outlet at Tung Chung (the travelling was likened to start at Pasir Ris and End at City Hall)... and there was this boy playing with play doh in the MTR.

Went to have their Bubbletea thereafter!!

so nice lah! I am missing it. Thankful for KOI in Singapore!!

You guys may have noticed that i didn't really post up pics of my face and all cos really, it was v cui due to eczema. and i guess this was the one part which i didn't enjoy. Imagine you travelling around with infected skin. Trying to put on a smile for the cam and see that it is really...... no fun at all. ;( was quite emo due to this... but thank God that I am alright now!!!!! Went to this doc at Bukit Batok on the 24th of May and was given an injection, pills and cream. I FEEL and LOOK so much better! The best thing is that i spent a lot lesser than the clinic i used to always visit, and to see the big and great effect really eases me down. Of cos, prior to this, PK was sharing about Healing. and it was there and then that i was renewed, refreshed, and i told myself to hold on, to claim for my healing as well.. REALLY THANK GOD FOR HIS HEALING!!!!! Believing still, for my complete healing. AMEN! :D Guys, you do know who you are... thank you for edifying the sad and emo me during this period!! LOVE YOU GUYS.:D

happy that i fixed my hair right coming back as well!! Dyed Copper brown and cut back bob hairstyle.

So overall, we really eat, shop, eat, shop and eat and shop there. It was considered as a 'tai tai' trip as compared to my previous trips and i had fun!!!!

WOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! now i really cannot wait for my next trip. Planning to go Taiwan. :D:D:D:D:D

went to Shuyin's condo function room for her 21st birthdae celebration on the 24th of April!!!

Reached a lil earlier to help up with the decorations, and whatever i could be help of.

Was one of the 'receptionist', busy taking Polaroids of her friends, so that they can paste and come out with their unique decoration and heart-felt wishes for the princess. :)

as it was quite some time since i last held and talked thru the mike, i sounded hilarious. when i asked her relatives and different group of friends to come forward for the photograph session. :S hahahha.... anyway, here are one of the pics we took in the group!

the night was still young... some of us went for the after-party at Mel's place!

HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAE RULAN!

Hehehehehehhehehehe.... yes... after muchhhh procrastination, i am back!! lets do it one-by-one...

this post is just gonna be all about my beloved bestie Ms Tan Ru Lan Kelicia!! :))

We discussed and decided that we would go KL for a super short 2D1N getaway.

Went to Five Stars Tour to book their coach on the 27th March (wah, why i can rmb so clearly? it is *ahem* *ahem* my erm.... payday. hahahah.)

13th April

Met Rulan 6plus in the morning and we trained down to Lavender! Took us quite a while to locate where Golden Mile Complex is... but thank God, after some walking and help from people, we managed to! Yeah!

As mentioned from the staff (Esther), we might get an executive bus without having to pay extra, so we opted to have the normal coach... man!! it was so so comfortable! and maybe also because both of us din really sleep the previous day.. i am really thankful because if you know me (esp ling-ers), i have motion sickness. It was more serious the last time.... ie: i can feel so sick by just traveling from Clementi to Town. So yeppp! this time around, nth about being uncomfortable! PTL! :D

The stop-over at somewhere we don't know exactly where is it... (Robert right! haha)

what we know was... there are fishes. coming to the hygiene part, i got freaked out. To actually see an 'A' for excellence hygiene hung outside the foodcourt when it is the total opposite. Yep, you have got the point... hurhur.

putting that aside, here was when we checked-in to the hotel!!!

Capitol Hotel was where we stayed in... i would say that it was comfortable enough for a 3 stars. :))

the hungry us went to Berjaya Times Square to have our first meal and shopping around!!! Had A&W too!!!

15th April - Finally, a meet up with AH MA TENG! :)

After the last meet up last year, we finally met up again that day!
A day after i came back fr KL with Rulan (will post abt the trip when i receive the pics!:P)

Firstly, it really felt so good. That I am not required to work and the 'luxury' of shopping around town area in the afternoon, which i normally would be in ofc working...

Met Ah ma at Tampines platform and that is when we started to talk non-stop!
WOW... everytime we meet, we never fail to be awed by how fast the time past by these years....

it is already 8th year (nonetheless, counting) of friendship and both of us are stepping into adulthood together this year. Sigh.... really dunno what we want to do as yet... Actually had this crazy idea to go Taiwan to look for my friends, ask them to tour me around and etc to celebrate my bdae... but then again, it is the typhoon period in September and of cos, $$$$! and whether erm my leave will be approved... Anyway, i will do what i m most happy with. (LIKE DUH, how doesn't right? haha... what i mean is... not just to plan for a happy celebration, but to see it come to past.) Aye, not much recommendations coming in from you guys also leh.... hahaha.. Pls give me some! LOL.... :s

Anyway back to the meet up! We settled down at HK Cafe for lunch and walked around FEP... :)
I simply love it!!! The quality filled chats with genuine laughter and sharing of heart felt feelings. One added topic, R/S. We shared about the criteria we look for in our ideal guy... LOL... :P

it rocks, totally!!! Less than 3 months to your big day, and i am really excited abt it~!!!

i guess sometimes such blog post (previous blog post that is) does really helps.
help me to learn not to keep everything inside.
to feel better. this is one of the very reasons why i love to blog.

WOW! just as i am not doing the count down, time passes by so fast!!! I am 23 days away from Hong Kong Trip!! and 34 days away from ASIA CONFERENCE!!!

Cannot wait to touch down the land of Tim Sum, Peking Duck and shopping!!!

*Let me first share the 'story' before i share the highlight of the trip...

Somewhere late December last year, Belle got to know about this promotion which Jet Star was offering and so she asked Jo and I if we wanna go Hong Kong together in May...

As you guys might already know, promotions periods are usually short, if not too short. Thus, decisions got to be made fast. But here comes an issue... as i wasn't so very sure when exactly in May Asia Conference would be held on, I 'painstakingly' asked them to go ahead. Yada, their booking with Jet Star were made. A week or so later, I got the confirmation the AC would be held on 26th to 30th May; which doesn't clash with the HK trip!! SO, i went back to check the air ticket pricing for the same flight etc... however, by then, it increased to $100+ more expensive. (-.-") so i quite reluctantly went to check TIGER AIRWAYS. yes, TIGER AIRWAYS. the flight timings only differs a mere 5 mins and the ticket cost around $20 more. So... i decided to book it...

back to the...
Two highlights of the trip:

•I will be flying to and fro HK on my own!
•They will be going to T1 and me, Budget Terminal. (MAN!! -.-)

Wahahaha. crossing my fingers against delays. -.-
Gonna plan and fix on our itineraries soon. Hotel's book!

Heard that Jerry and John and Jully will be coming for the Asia Conference from Taiwan!!! CANNOT WAIT to see them and to catch up with them...

i m finally back....

firstly let's talk about my work now...
hurhurhur!

i slowly and steadily got the hang of it.
afterall, it is nearly 1/2 year since I last stepped into this ofc.

tho there were and might be a lot of incidents where i would roll my eyes over, i guess it is important to focus on the main picture...

i really thank God for the grace and strength for my work.

i cannot help but to be amazed all over and over again how God moves.

but nonetheless.... i know that i just needa improve on the way i organize things. like seriously. if not i will be 'killed' man! Details determines Destiny!

yep yep! i will keep on pressing on and do my very best!!

aiming to at least get my incentive next month. at least when i put in the spirit of excellence,
EVEN if i do not get it, i am happy already. Yep. :)

Went for Youth Mtg with PK aft work. It was a time of refreshing. and re-dedication. To cling on the Lord what come may. and this is way beyond religion, but a pure dedication. 10 years down the road, I am visualizing it now that the next gen will take the baton and run the race with unbeatable passion! I want to be part of this. Yes and Amen! Easier said and done. I relay on you... :)

Met up with Mei Juan after our work! We went to Bugis to have our dinner together. It was a simple belated meet up session as well! :) We dined at QQ noodles along Bugis Street but it was simply yucky. Seriously. BUT hey! nah, that wasn't the highlight. hurhurhur.

thank you for all these years babe!! Now that you have turned twenty one, i am believing with you to have greater breakthrus and boldness in everything you set your heart to do! JIAYOU! and... I believe God will give us the right guy when the time is ripen! LOL :S

Finally x 100 000 met up with Adriel and Spoony! Went to Orchard and settled down at Wheelock's Coffee Club. Thanks to Ad whom reached earlier to q for the seats for there was already a queue when both of us reached, a lil later...

Well, one thing i am sure, Ad is still as lame!!! Left me speechless for many times. Man!

Even when I was clapping my hands, praising His name.... it was so so vivid in my mind till date... and last week, it was such a time yet again!!! i cannot ever not be amazed by God. How God moves... :)

i m gonna work extra hard from now on, to have my incentives so as to be able to give more! it is always more blessed to give than to receive, yes? Absolutely so. :)

i m indeed blessed to be in N266. The simple example of just imitating 'Annoying Orange' (that which Willie does it really well) together, and playing Scrabble (as Rena mentioned in her blog)...simply bonds us together... and as we continue to go into this direction of spending true quality time with one another, going beyond having dinner together, I believe so much in my heart that this bonding will get even stronger...like a three fold cords that is hard to break.

it is true. that we might be fighting hard, standing strong, laying down our lives

and then I got reminded of the days of my youth. when i was still an innocent regular

primary six student.

Flashbacks of how I used to squeeze thru the crowd to book seats for CG, how I was touched by God, how I had lifted up my hand and what I have went thru with Him filled my mind as I worshipped the Lord. and then I found myself to cry even harder. this is my First Love.

and it does not matters how long am I in church, what am I put responsibility over, seriously. because at the end of the day, it is really my R/S with my Abba father.

stanancy is the enemy of growth. and it is really a neccessity to do a self reflection from time to time... not to be overpowered by all other issues of lives.

at the end of the day, it is not the deeds, but the intention of the deeds.

a time where I pick up myself again, to go to greater heights with the Lord.

I am back to continue!! *ignore the date. It is chu er monday today... :)*
I am one happy girl! to be able to buy this and that... :D (shall not elaborate on this as this is not the main point)...

I am really glad that both of us managed to meet!! She is really sucha sweetie. Passed me chocolate and a really meaningful post card with much love. Plus... she never fail to challenge my thinking, in a good way. GOSH. we still cannot believe. that we are twenty one (mine's not offical yet. hehehehehe. -.-) and she said something that got me thinking for a while... we are only left with ard 300 days before we countdown to yet another year... True! we must really know what we are fighting for in life. :) she also shared with me some really true facts... :)

CNY DAY 1

Since the two missy (my sisters) were wearing dress, they have the luxury to sit in front while Mummy, Ah Lun, Amicell and myself sat at the back(of the lorry :)). ARGH! the sun was really strong! Too strong. Yet, I am thankful for sweety Ami!! HAHA. *you know what you did... :D* xie xie!

Went to my paternal grandma's hse and then to my maternal's to bai nian, as usual... :) Quite saddening that I wasn't able to meet Sunshine, Alvin and the rest this time round tho... meet up soon k? k! hahhaahaaa....

went home first after the home visitations and... went to K BOX with jie, mummy, ah lun and ami!

REUNION DINNER yesterday...

Had an awesomeeee time there at Pearl River Palace Restuarant yesterday!!! YAHOO!!! It is really a good place to eat reunion at a very reasonable price. We had 'All-You-Can-Eat' buffet at $40++ per person! However, as their menu for CNY is different (heard that the food in the menu is not so nice), i would recommend to go a few days before the 'san shi wan'... :) yeah, ps!!! no food of pictures as its in Belle's Iphone.... Overall, love it!! Oh, and the yu sheng!! normally i would only eat the 'pok pok', but the whole yu sheng itself tasted just so yummy that it became our 'kai wei cai'...

today is the day i believe, a lot of families come together to eat reunion dinner!! for me, as i had a reunion with... MELISSA TEO HUI JUN!! today is the actual day of her 21st birthday as well. The last time we met was.. a year back. hahahha. Met at Bugis as she wanted to get something... we met at Long John to eat, and then, ahem.. off we went to Bugis Village after that. Some damages done to my wallet, again. :P

First there was this person I was talking to etc etc, and towards the end of the call, when I told him my direct line so that he could get back to me, he said something that got me dumb-founded… so what exactly he said? Here goes…

me: my direct line is 6xxxxxxx, you can just feel free to call me back if you need further help.
him: ok, how may I address you again?
me: I am Jasmine.
him: as in J-A-S-M-I-N-E?
me: that's right sir.
him: alright, I shall call you jas mine (just mine).

this morning, I was activating this certain insurance for the other client… and then, he told me something very funny. He told me that his maid is called Baby something something as she is the last of the 16 children; her parents decided to name her that. And I mentioned that it is interesting… then guess what? He told me something very funny!

This was his reply: yah, when she first came and work for me, she said "sir, you can call me baby". and he told me that his response was: "nope, I will call you (using middle name instead of given name)". "it will be so weird if I really call her baby. What would my friends think?

jie (btw i refer to belle whenever i mention jie) took leave today and had lunch with me today....
treated me to Crystal Jade and we had dim sum! She was sharing with me some very -.-""" benefits given and offered to her by this co she went to, for an interview. Really find it ridiculous. And it sets me thinking. In a really good way. Right now what she is earning is 5 times as much as mine. and this is the result of her hard work... her going thru the uni life years back in England etc etc. Can imagine the stress she went thru... Yeah, really so impt to up my value!!!

anyway, went to Swensens for dessert with my mum, jo, belle just now!

Howdy! I am back.
how was the week for you guys?

it was quite a =.=""" one for me.
thanks to the fickle minded-ness i have.
My education path plan that is.

it is really frustrating to make decisions like these sometimes.
this is when i got to really learn the art of slowing down,
the art of being calm and trusting in the Lord for the very BEST.

i find myself quite ridiculous for being that sure I was going to LTO; when I met up with Spoony babe,telling my plan so confidently and then agreeing so much when my eldest sister shared her point of view, and her vote of me going to TMIS.

i guess this feeling of not knowing what exactly do i want really sucks. If you do get what i mean... but i really thank God... and I finally came to a conclusion... that I am going to TMIS.

and i confess that my dream of working in the IR will come to past. Amen! Of cos, this equates to HARD WORK. but I will do my very best! Greater is He in me... :)

broswing the IR website alone is making me really excited for the future already. For now, it is really about building my education level; gaining all the experience i could get... FOCUS is the word.

Before I continue, I wanna THANK BESTIE, SPOONY BABE, BINN, MEI WEN and Eve for all the little and big things you have done. Even by Binn helping me to jiayou in her blog; it sure have made an impact in my heart. Thanks for all of your love girls!!! So how's work so far?!?

Well, being in the Sales Dept sure shows how important and crucial it is to close sales. It is into my 3 months plus plus days in this co and all of us newbies are actually experiencing what is it like to be working after the 'honeymoon' period. The stress of not closing sales will come in. Like duh! huh? haha. and I went for MT Training last week, just getting the hang of it, I was scheduled for FMS Training this week. (was on MC during day 1 of the MT Ins Trg the previous time, and this explains it.) Not yet finish, it will continue tomorrow. man! really need to brush up on my understanding on WP expiry. It nearly killed me on Fri. Ain't kidding here... Guess how I could really improve, and making sure that every question I need to ask PH is being asked. Yay yay!

There's also a change of working hours. Originally was from 08:30AM to 17:20PM (no idea till today why not till 17.30PM either. But happy with it!). Come tomorrow, my working hours would be from 09:00AM to 17:50PM... Was quite grumpy at first, but thank God that I will still end work before 6 strikes! :)

I am so grateful to have colleagues like Prema, Arvin, Aunty Janet and all to brighten up my days! They never fail to extend their help readily. Need to balance it well! Gotta brush up my knowledge constantly... :)

Aunty Janet's last day is on the 2nd of Feb. :( will miss her like crazy. For 'scolding' me retard as well. HAHAHAHAHA.

I am blogging this as I take a break from 'you are beautiful'... currently at episode 6, going on 7 now. Slow. BUT WOW! it is yet another great show! and i am not complaining. AWW. and 'XIA YI ZAN, XIN FU'! but i gotta discipline. Before I glue myself back on the screen, I have to do what i need to do first... YES!

Had Company BBQ cum Buffet dinner at Downtown East Costasands. Most of us was quite tired as it was after a full day of work. Played with this "Bingo" game and we are supposed to hear all the numbers shouted out, and then if we are able to have all the numbers shouted out horizontally or vertically, we will be entitled a prize... there were only ten of it. and and and, thankful that I am one of them! Such a pity that I was the first few as the prizes gets more and more interesting as it goes on. Yeah, you got the drift. Skin was quite irritated too. Went back home to take a quick bath before I rushed down to RW for OPM. It was awesome, as always! :) MORE MORE MORE....

it was Alvin's official last day with us.
one year contract was up, and he had decided not to re-new
but to focus on his studies for this is the year for all the mega cum major exams.
he is definitely a joy to be with!
my funny and lame lunch buddy too!
i will miss pressing his ext for help on various products when Arvin is engaged on the line. HURHUR.
anyway, we had our team's farewell for him on 8th of Jan.

Met up with DORCAS, RENA, KENRUS, XIAOYONG, AMANDA and.... we went to the Settler's Cafe!! BOY OH BOY! It was my first time there, and I totally ENJOYED myself!!! I am sure we all did. I am definitely gonna 'jio' more of my friends to go there!! Thinking to go there with the girls. I guess it will be so much fun all over again! Right here right now, I will be showing you the pics Kenrus took when we were playing this 'complete this and that task to move a step forward' kinda game.

Took leave. Went to visit Felicia and Rexx at Thomson Medical and of cos, to adore the new born - Christy! Saw Magdalene too. She was so so so so sweet! Visited them with Gabriel the previous day, saw and noticed that Felicia was eating hospital food and don't bear to see so, went back (on the day we visited her), with food and "rice wine"!!! Really sweet isn't it? :) She commented that I look more and more like Jo as I grow up. And that I have grown a lot taller. LOL. :) Time flies... I was just a lil innocent (I mean really innocent) girl back then at 12 years old. now, turning 21 already.

Met up with YIYING, RENA and JASMINE D for dinner after that and then ice cream thereafter! It was short but really enjoyable... The simple pleasures of life describes this well I reckon.

Ate at Down Town East's Just Acia with fellow N266ians after work! The men went to play Diota thereafter while I headed to the cinema with Jolene! We watched "Did you meet the Morgans'. It was a bit typical, but sweet. Nice overall. :)

TODAY

Went down to MS to find Spoony babe for dinner! I love it. Simply. We had a simple but yummy-licious meal at Bao Jin Tian (?). And the talks was the highlight. *HUGS* :) oh, and me failing to resist this oh so blingy fame-less glasses in the shop! :S Shall 'show-case' it soon yay!

I wanna repeat what I said to her, here.

"我的SPOONY 可不是省油的灯！" (she knows what this sentence actually implies. hehehehe)

This marks the events I went to, the stuffs I did, basically.

The 20s is the 'Starting Out' stage, when fresh graduates join the rat race and when many experience the liberation of earning their own keep.

This is when money is tight and many are living in debt after buying their first car, work wear and paying for a new lifestyle in the corporate world. It is not uncommon for many in this life stage to get carried away with their newly found financial independence till they forget to save and invest.

Wilson Koe, Associate Director at Eternal Financial Advisory, shares that the very first thing a person in the Starting Out stage must do is to have at least six months worth of emergency savings. "Being able to save is fundamental to financial planning. Sadly, many tend to spend more than they can save, which proves to be one of the major difficulties facing young working adults today," Koe laments. The best method to save is by setting aside an amount as savings, before spending your income on expenses. Saving for emergency purposes is an example of a goal-ori¬ented savings plan. This type of savings plan instils discipline. Other short-term goals could be buying a new car, getting married or putting the down payment for a home. A long-term goal that applies to everyone is retirement. Throughout all stages of life, it is advisable that we constantly look back on the goals set in the 20s to determine whether we are financially on track.

The general rule is to save at least 10% of your pay for your goals and increase the percentage every time you get a raise. The more you save, the better off you will be later in life. "Consider implementing a regular savings plan - by allocating a portion of your income to a designated savings account or by investing into funds, every month," says Koe. A regular savings plan is one way to ensure that you will save.Budgeting is a practice that goes hand-in-hand with savings. Budgeting gives an idea of how much money you are making and where it goes. Even if you are financially stable, budgeting is im¬portant as it helps you unlock your financial positions. For example, you can see how much money is left, after paying for your bills, and maximise it.

The path to financial success starts with sticking to a budget that balances your income, spending and savings. Only after you have mastered this practice, should you consider using credit cards. Koe points out that sticking to a budget cultivates a responsible attitude with credit cards, which is vital to avoid falling victim to debt. Those that charge purchases to their cards, without considering their budg¬ets and their ability to pay, can easily find themselves with a humon¬gous debt that incurs an extremely high interest.

This is also the time to start thinking about managing your risk in your financial plan. At this stage of life, it is prudent to have in¬surances to fall back on, instead of spending all your hard-earned savings during emergencies. "There are several must haves and nice-to-haves in a financial plan. To begin, one must look at their present situation. Is it of vital importance to protect your income by having a disability protection plan? The plan will pay an income should the person be unable to work due to a disability or illness," says Koe.

Other must haves are hospitalisation plan, critical illness cover¬age and death coverage (to care for your parents should premature death occur). Meanwhile, nice-to-haves are endowment plans which are long-term regular savings plan with built-in life cover. This is used to achieve goals in the distant future as you will receive the sum assured plus any bonuses that have been added over the years as a lump sum, provided that you have paid all your premiums.

In summary, at this life stage you should:

Save at least six months of your monthly salary in an emergency fund
Put aside at least 10% of your income towards goals that you want to achieve
Start budgeting and sticking to your plan.
Use credit cards responsibly (pay off your balance before the due date)
Acquire a hospitalisation plan, critical illness coverage and death coverage

Food Overdose (part 2) - the aftermath

It was rather a typical happy eating day (previous post) huh?
BUT NO.
it was not so when i am faced with the aftermath.

TOTALLY CRAZY.
-nauseousness (it is not altogether too bad if i could vomit out... but the fact is i could not, and it was the struggle of vomiting it out, and vomiting not; yeah yada yada, you got what i mean! haha)
-sleeplessness (tried so hard to sleep but could not. i could only sleep (or should i say rest) for 3 hours... :( man. super tired the next day at work.
-sian sian sian...

BUT well, thank God i am good again!
i reckon that many do not know about this one fact; that which i am gonna reveal now...

when i was 15 to 16 years old, I was literally a greedy pig.
I will eat and eat and eat and eat non-stop even i am full... cos i just do not want to see some yummy food and not able to eat that. Silly lifestyle...

Thank God that recent years, my eating habit was adjusted back to normal....

and thus, as you all could have figured, eating madly much like this is a great no-no already...

Had an overdose of food today!

simply ate too much! Not so convinced yet?

Let me now share with you guys what i ate TODAY alone...

Bought PORRIDGE early in the morning from Old Chang Kee, ate that.

Next, ate almost a full packet of BBQ chips + 2 packets of "wang wang" (which is four of it), ate quite a lot of hazelnut chocolate as well ---- > all these snacks were prize we won for our Christmas deco competition, and 'best' of all, it was placed right behind me, at this empty table... How to resist right? OK, I FAILED TO COME OUT WITH A REASON, FOR IT IS AN EXCUSE. ahha!

Went to Popeye's with Alvin for lunch and ate 2 piece chix meal (!!!), and then after work, met my mum and sister to ate at HK cafe. Ate PORK CHOP CHEESE rice, drank ICE MILK TEA. not the end! we went to Swensen's for dessert. Ate a bit of fries (sis craving for it and she asked me to eat a lil as well... :S), and had banana spilt.

BOY OH BOY! i sure don't know whats going on to me! HAHAHA...

shall not write a full recap of what happened the entire year (2009) this time round.

however, I am absolutely thankful to God for His strength and grace thruout the whole year!!!

significant events in 2009....

JAN - started my 3 months work attachment at NHT.

FEB - had ezcema on my face. Terribly affected emotionally and was having super low moral... But thank God it is not like that anymore!!!! It is controlled. However, I must maintain the level of discipline to keep it controlled! YES I CAN! :)

MARCH - Enrolled myself into SOT!!! Went back to work at NHT as a part timer at the same time! Really so so grateful to be able to work from 2.30 to 7.30pm during the economic downturn!! So happy to be able to pay off the whole SOT course fee by the pay I got.... tho it was really not easy, the tiredness and all, greater is He in me!!

Never once, and never will I regret a single bit going to SOT..... the teachings, the tears shed, the joy shared, the friends met, my first ever mission trip....as cliché as it may sound, I just could not finish listing them… :)

March was also the month I graduated from Tourism Course! Time flies when you have fabulous friends and lecturers! A year of travelling from Pasir Ris to Clementi. All the memories is what I hold dear to too! :)

MAY AND JUNE till somewhere in July - Family crisis. It was the time when all of us in the family started to feel very disappointed, sad. It was a trying period. Thank God that we managed to go thru this "dirty mud" period together. I am grateful for close friends, and my awesome leader like Cliff for their prayers, encouragements.

JULY - My first ever overseas mission trip to Jakarta with dearest Team 8ians, Lao Ba, Tsai Yi, Ingrid and Jenny; led by Josephine Lim!

AUGUST - SOT Graduation! :))

SEPTEMBER -

4th - my beloved Grandfather went home with the Lord... he is the best grandfather one could ever ask for.... :)
turned twenty. (man, cannot believe it… celebrating my 21st this year… MAN! LOL)

All in all, I thank God for all that have happened and I am looking forward for the MORE for this brand new year - 2010!

Shall submit my planned leave for Asia Conference in May soon, and prolly plan to go for at least one short mission trip!!

LIFE'S EXCITING, AND I AM EXCITED FOR ALL THAT IS TO HAPPEN!!! PTL! :)

Was out with Esther after work on the 31st DEC 09 for a simple lunch and great catching up session! We went to Century Square, ate and talked at the HK cafe there!!! we took bus 18 to bedok thereafter...... :D

I was glad that I havee met Esther!!! JASLYN, you are missed too... shall arrange one (and many more) too ok!!

so what happened after the last post?

17TH DECEMBER -

it was Binn's 19th Birthday! Managed to sing a song for her at 00:17. Though failed acting dolly; I sounded like a drunkard for some reason. HA. :) Anyway, Happy birthday to you!

Met up with Mei Juan, Shimin, Huiyi, Amelia and irritating orange TGX (really look and behave like one lor, Ame! ahhaa) after work at night!

SIDETRACK: AH. Watched 'Irritating Orange' on You Tube via GX's new Iphone (!!!). Trust me, it is realllly cute and err, irritating!! Shall post it up soon. :)

Anyway, went to 'Tian Tian Huo Guo' to eat… got reminded by the SOT days; one of the gatherings were held there as well. :) It was reallly 'cold' altho we were sweating away… I mean, when all the chessy people like GX and Huiyi are around, how not? LOL. anyway, it was a great catching up eventho it was just over dinner. Love ya all! Really thankful for you guys… :)

19TH DECEMBER -

Went to watch "Bodyguards and Assassins" midnight movie with dearest Yiying at TM after we bid goodbye with the rest who went ahead to go play "diota" (wrong spelling intended. HUR.). Had a great time chatting with her as we were waiting for the show to start. The movie was alright, just that it is quite bloody… cannot wait for the Alvin and the Chipmunks to be screened tmr!

20TH DECEMBER -

Went down to my dad's church early in the morning… becus, PTL! My grandma accepted Christ! :) Shall post up the pics after uploading it. So glad and happy.. :) Then pa drove Jo and I to bugis, and it is when our shopping started!! I bought lotsa stuffs while nothing really caught her eyes. HA. It feels just so good to shop freely on a Sun!! Come 1 to 2 plus PM, can forget abt it.. the human crazy was crazy. haha. anyway, it has been a while since both of us went shopping together… enjoyed it!! Plus the banana split we had in Swensens. *Mama mia!*
went down to JW for the Thanksgiving nite! Enjoyed myself totally. What can I say? I am totally and absolutely proud to be a part of CHC. Love PK and Sun a lot… If not for my leaders and dearest friends, I wouldn't have come so far… ;)

YESTERDAY -

Went to meet up with Spoony babe and ALH like finallllllyyyyy yesterday! :) As I stayed back to help with the Christmas décor (there's a competition between the two teams- Sunshine and Starlight.), I left the office at abt 630pm (just heard that some of them stayed back till 8 plus 9. KUDOS TO YOU GUYS!!!!). Rushed to buy their christmas and belated birthday gifts before meeting them. Was asked to go back to take the pressies after half an hour as the gift wrap counter was overwhelming. Thus went ahead to meet them first, and we went to this Japanese Ramen House opposite Waraku. The two girls didn't manage to finish their share while I, finished it all. Was famished. HA! Anyway, we talked about this and that and it just feels good to share openly, knowing that we all have the trust for each other. Thanks for being here girls. :) *hugs*

Walked very fast to collect the gifts and tadah, gave it to them. I myself really like it a lot too for it is just so encouraging with its cute and cheery smiley face on it. Glad you girls like it too… :)

it is day 4 of morning PM and I am enjoying it so so much.
Thank God that I managed to wake up at ard 530am the past few days to
go for it... it is really awesome. and i am really thankful for friends like Rena.

wanted to go on the convenient option, that is, to go for the evening one, telling myself it is
ok, as i got to rush down from work for that as well. but really, nothing beats starting the day right.
was kinda in the flesh until she casually asked if i will be able to make it for the morning one.

things gets so much easier for the day when you are strengthened from within, isn't it? Yes it surely is. :)

Had the last meet up at Dorcas' house yesterday and it was awesome. it is all about the passion and the compassion.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. i cannot wait. for greater and greater breakthroughs!! :) Things are no longer stagnant when you know and know that you are moving forward. in the various aspect of your life. JIAYOU JASMINE CHEANG! JIAYOU EVERYONE!
