Hi Friends, I m back with the update on my face skin condition...
Thanks for all of your concern. :)
it started with only a few pimple like stuffs on the face.. thinking that it is really pimples, i did what i normally would do, to put concealer and make up (i know, not supposed to put any when i have pimples...it was a neglected fact:X anyway, not gonna apply it for a long time now...) etc trying to cover up... however, things turned for a worse as days went by. Friday, when I was down at the Emerge (it was great!! prolly blog about it another time)... was the day that it got very obvious.. and I know that it cannot be that simple... concerned friends also started asking me what happened. I got really worried that I went to the poly clinic the next day (last Sat morning)... however, as you guys would have read a little in my this post, the visit to the Polyclinic didn't helped much. Basically, the doctor only agreed when I asked if it is eczema and then got himself pretty busy writing the prescriptions and all, saying that they may not do much here, asked me to get more info from the Skin clinic of CGH or something like this...
so anyway, my family members were all very concerned upon seeing my face and suggested me to go to the specialist which is very good (my eldest sister and Derrick(Jo's BF) was a patient of that clinic and got really well.. esp Derrick, as we both suffer from eczema...) straight away.. Decided to take leave to go down there yesterday..
I managed to reach 'Niks Maple Clinic' 5 to 10 mins before 11am yesterday and was rather shocked about seeing 6 to 7 people already in the Q. Thus, I put away the thought of buying some food and drink to consume during the long wait...
However, after a while, I realized that some of these people in the q already have a number and they belong to the 'morning session' shift. To my delight, I was the third in the Q of the 'afternoon session'. Another 5 mins more and I realized that I am really hungry.. was really touched that my eldest sister (Isabelle) cabbed down all the way before meeting my mum for lunch, just to help me buy food and drink as I can't possibly leave my bag there at where I was in the Q and tell people not to cut to go and buy. It is not fair. Really thankful that she was on off too yesterday...
So anyway, I ate one peanut and red bean pancake and had a green milk tea bubble tea. As 2pm (the time the clinic open in the afternoon) came nearer, the q got longer. Then it became to be a lil hot, and then it rained. and then a big fat cat actually went thru the chair i was sitting without me knowing!! REALLY thank God that it didn't touched my feet and stuffs like that.. if not, i am so sure that i will feel uncomfortable all the more... =/ Finally, a handful (10 people or so) were let in while the whole lot others who were q-ing got rejected and went home, leaving 2 to 3 people staying behalf joining the night session (7-9pm) q. BTW, i heard that this is the case everyday. WOW!
so although the afternoon clinic opened at 2pm, the first patient only started going in at 2.30pm. *DING DONG* and *flashing number 82* got me really alert. I mean... the long wait is finally coming to an end... finally, finally and finally i am seeing the doctor everyone including me was q-ing for!!
i was all restless by the time it was my time. Told doctor what happened and she told me that i am having a face infection, which is a side effect of eczema, which could be infections and fungus etc... Dr Ong was really understanding and could understand my concern without me saying much. This is what I call a real doctor, beyond just the title! HAHAHA. She explained the uses of the medicine she is going to presribe to me till it got rather overwhelming for me to remember and thus asked her if there will be someone to explain how to apply, what to apply first when i get them later on. She said of course. hahahahaa. So anyway, I was supposed to finish this (really smelly) antibiotics, clean my face with this 'Ultrafine Soothing Cleansing Lotion', then to apply the first layer of medicine named 'Chorhex wash' then 'lipid complex', followed by 'intensive barrier repair', then by 'fucicort cream' and finally the 'sun protect' if i am going out, in the morning... It is nevertheless tedious to follow swallow the really disgusting smelling antibiotics, and to follow thru the steps, applying the different layers of medicine on my face, I am gonna follow it 'religiously'.
I am glad, that it is taking positive effect as of now, becoming smaller in size. PTL PTL PTL!!! i believe that God is my healer, and I will be healed totally and completely, with a better face complexion after this!!
Coming to the emotional side of this issue.. I will be very frank and admit that it was really terrible the first few days. I had a lot of stares and what not. Was insecured and all but God always never fail to assure and affirm me that it is gonna be alright. I thank God truly that i have a lot of concerned friends who cheered me on and encouraged me!! I wanna thank all of you personally here...
THANKS THANKS THANKS THANKS X infinity!!!!!!!
